Threads of the Wild Shadow

About this deck

Presence, not answers

Threads of the Wild Shadow is a 40-card oracle for descent, becoming, and the art of integrating the self. These cards offer presence, not answers. A thread to follow through the dark.

What this is

A companion for reflection, journaling, ritual, and your own inner work. A reading is an invitation to notice what is already moving in you. It does not predict the future, and nothing in this deck claims special or supernatural powers. The cards are drawn at random. The meaning comes from what you bring to them.

What this is not

Nothing here is medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice. A reading is not therapy, and it is not a substitute for care from a doctor, therapist, counselor, or other professional. If you are moving through something that needs that kind of support, please reach for it. A reading can walk alongside that care. It can’t replace it.

Your choices are yours

You are the authority on your own life. Whatever you decide or do after a reading is your choice and your responsibility. By using this site, you agree that Shawn Carney is not responsible or liable for decisions made or actions taken based on a reading.

If you are in crisis

These cards hold grief, loss, and mortality, and sometimes a reading touches something heavy. If you are thinking about harming yourself or feel unsafe, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US, or contact your local emergency services. You don’t have to hold it alone.
